Introducing three new lecturers to the ISE department

The ISE Department welcomes three new lecturers who bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our academic community. Meet Eric Huang from Chewy, and Gary Martz and Scott Doenecke, both from Intel. Each brings unique experience that will enrich our department's academic instruction.

Eric Huang, Chewy
Eric Huang joins us from Chewy, having previously worked at Amazon as a senior research scientist on routing solutions and prior to that, a professor at Clemson University. Eric leads a team of operations research and machine learning scientists developing in-house tools to support Chewy's supply chain daily operations and strategic growth. Prior to his industrial positions, he also served on the faculty of Clemson University's civil engineering department. With a PhD in transportation systems from UC-Davis, Huang's focus lies in supply chain management for environmental sustainability and efficiency. His key experience encompasses supply chain optimization, transportation network optimization, EV charging infrastructure network optimization, and more. He also has exceptional proficiency in mathematical programming, data science, and statistical analysis.

Gary Martz, Intel
Gary Martz is an ISE alumnus and a current board member. Martz's extensive career at Intel spans engineering, standards, marketing, and business strategy, as well as corporate entrepreneurship and industry organizational leadership. His expertise in Intel's Industrial IoT standards strategy and actions has been instrumental in shaping the industry. With his broad experience in wireless technology standards and his contributions to Wi-Fi Alliance's Wi-Fi Direct™ specification and Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) Technology, Martz's insights and leadership will greatly benefit our department and students.

Scott Doenecke

Scott Doenecke, Intel
Scott Doenecke is currently focused on global business development for the Thunderbolt Ecosystem, aiming to achieve the vision of a single cable solution for power, high-resolution displays, and high-speed data transfers. With an MBA from the Foster School of Business including a bilingual International Management Fellowship, Doenecke’s past work at Intel required building expertise in project management, alliances, and international product development. His years leading many aspects of Intel engineering programs and technical product management will undoubtedly enhance our department's industry engagement and academic offerings.
