UW Study Abroad provides hundreds of foreign study opportunities to fit the diverse needs of the UW student population, as well as a wealth of resources for students preparing for study abroad experiences. The programs listed vary from Exploration Seminars, which take place during the gap between summer and fall quarter and are led by UW faculty, to full-year direct University Exchange programs with more than 70 institutions around the world.
The University of Washington houses a chapter of this international non-profit organization dedicated to partnering with disadvantaged communities worldwide in order to improve quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable, and economical engineering projects. The UW chapter has been involved in projects located in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bolivia, and Ghana.
